Once a year for the past decade, Nicholas Adams returns to Falledge and leaves a black hellebore on his girlfriend's grave. While departing Falledge, he chases after a man sneaking into the laboratory and dies for his trouble. A witch brings him back to life, but Nicholas soon realizes he's not the same man. Turns out, magic combined with a black hellebore in his pocket changed him into a kind of a super man.

His girlfriend's twin, Julianna Paige, is Falledge's deputy, struggling to solve several murders. Nicholas, and his alter ego the Black Hellebore, helps her, even as she helps him move on and even start to love again.

Unfortunately, Nicholas wasn't the only one changed in the laboratory explosion, and now there's a supervillain bent on destroying Falledge, and killing the Black Hellebore. But falling in love might prove more dangerous than any supervillain.

Top Ten Favorite Halloween Movies
10. Hocus Pocus – A great movie for the entire family to enjoy year after year. Three sister witches try to start a reign of terror.

9. Scream – I only watched the Scream movies this year. Only the first one was good in my mind. Definitely worth a watch. What are your horror film rules?

8. Saw – Although I’ll write horror and darker fiction, I’m not a huge horror movie fan. Hubby did force me to watch several of the Saw movies, until I finally put my foot down. As is usually the case, the first is the best one. It’s rather graphic and hard to watch though.

7. Casper – I loved this movie as a kid and watched it over and over. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a paranormal expert for a father? You get to live in a haunted house!

6. The Shining – A Halloween classic. A writer. An insolated hotel. An evil presence. Violence. Horrific forebodings. What more could you want? Here’s Johnny!

5. The Omen – A dark, suspenseful film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. What would you do if you start to suspect your child is the Antichrist?

4. Beetlejuice – All I have to say is Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Oh, and hubby has yet to see this. I promise to rectify that.

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas – A movie my youngest brother watched a thousand times when he was younger. Jack Skellington finds Christmas Town, but being the king of Halloweentown, struggles to learn what Christmas is all about. A great movie for bother Halloween and Christmas.

2. The Addams Family – More a comedy than a horror film, The Addams Family is a fun movie. Twisted and off, but fun.

1. Silence of the Lambs – A young FBI cadet seeks the help of a manipulative, twisted killer to apprehend another serial killer. The psychology in this movie is brilliant.

Bio:
Nicole Zoltack loves to write fantasy/paranormal, romances, horror, historical, for adults and young adults, novels, short stories, and flash pieces. She doesn't want to get boxed in by genre -- she might be claustrophobic! She's also an editor for MuseItUp Publishing and works as a freelance editor.
When she isn't writing about girls wanting to be knights, talking unicorns, and zombies, she spends time with her loving family. She loves to ride horses (pretending they're unicorns, of course!) and going to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, dressed in period garb. Her favorite current TV show is The Walking Dead.
