Review:
This is the first book I have read from this author and I loved it. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Due to the content of this book I recommend that only 18 and over should read it.
Liz is the type of heroine you just love. She is smart, sassy, strong, and stubborn. She owns a bar and loves her small group of friends. Liz thinks she knows everything about herself until one night out with Rick her best friend everything changes. People start dying and a sexy stranger shows up and Liz falls in love with him. Liz knows he’s a vampire but she can’t resist the pull she feels towards Marcus. It isn’t until he kidnaps Rick that she realizes she must fight him.
I really loved this book. I was pulled into this world from page one. Christine writes her characters as if they could be our friends and neighbors. I could see myself going to the bar and hanging out with Liz and Rick. Marcus is the type of vampire you love to hate. He is beautiful and evil.
Christine has started off her series with a bang that has twists and turns that had me staying up late into the night to read this book. I will be buying book two immediately so I can see what happens with Liz and her friends next. I give this book 5/5 bats
