Author Spotlight with Carrie Ann Ryan

Hey Everyone! Today we are please to welcome author Carrie Ann Ryan as our spotlight author. Carrie has written many wonderful books.  We have info on her many great books, an interview with her, quotes and even a review of her book that is out today  Her Warriors' Three Wishes. First off we will start with the interview with her.

Paranormal Reads - Tell us a little bit about yourself for those readers that might not know you, yet.
Carrie Ann Ryan - Hi! I’m Carrie Ann Ryan, a bestselling paranormal romance author. I write sweet and spicy romance and darker romance. My Redwood Pack, Holiday, Montana and Dante’s Circle series are large series where you get to meet some sexy men and see how their romance comes about.

PR - Are you a full-time writer or work a day job and write when you can? What made you start writing?
CAR - I’m a full time author so in essence, I work two jobs! LOL. I write every day and most of the day while I’m at it. I started writing because I had been really sick and needed something to do when I healed. I always had stories in my head and I finally had a chance to put them on paper.

PR - What's your favorite place and/or time of day to write? Do you listen to music or the television when you write? If you listen to music, do you have a favorite type to play when writing?
CAR - I write when I wake up around 11 am until 4 am when I go to bed. I do take breaks and deal with household things, but it’s pretty much writing when I have time during the day.

PR - Do your characters "talk' to you when your plotting or writing a book? If so, who was the "loudest/most vocal" character that's ever told you their story?
CAR - They talk to me and sometimes I shut them up to do what’s needed LOL. I think Maddox, from my upcoming Shattered Emotions has always been the loudest though he’s known as the man of few words in the Redwood Pack series. Though I will say that Balin, from Her Warriors’ Three Wishes surprised me at how loud he was.

PR - Do you have any advice for those writers that haven't published yet? Did you get any advice prior to you publishing that made everything 'click'?
CAR - Write write write! Don’t think about writing. Do it.
And yes, that’s the advice Rebecca Royce gave me and now look at me.

PR - What or who influences you to write?
CAR - Anything and everything. I write from the characters first then find out what happens along the way. So if I hear a story from a personal experience or see something in the distance, I usually try to see if my characters could do it.

PR - Can you share your website information, twitter and Facebook information with the readers so they can find you?
CAR - Of course!

PR - Is there a character or story that you haven't written yet, that you really want to write?
CAR - Oh, I have so many! LOL. I’m writing Jackson’s story now from Holiday, Montana and I’ve loved him from the first. I also have FIVE more series coming out and there are some characters that are screaming for me.

PR - What kind of were or shifter would you want to be?
CAR - I’ve always loved wolves—that’s why they came to me first in the Redwood Pack series. Though in my Dante’s Circle series, I’m in love with my angels.

PR - What is the first book you remember reading? Do you have any current author influences?
CAR - The Diary of Anne Frank and the Babysitter’s Club all blend for me as a child. J And I have many, many favorite authors but Nalini Singh is my hero. I LOVE that woman.

PR - If you have anything you'd like to share with the readers and fans, including any upcoming book releases or contests or blog hops ....
CAR - On April 22nd, I have Her Warriors’ Three Wishes (Dante’s Circle 2). OMG I’m so excited about this book! It’s been almost a year in the making and I cannot wait for you to read it! You can also find out more about my coming releases on my website! http://carrieannryan.com/coming-soon/

Review of Her Warriors' Three Wishes (Dante's Circle #2)
Humans aren’t as alone as they choose to believe. Every human possesses a trait of supernatural that lays dormant within their genetic make-up. Centuries of diluting and breeding have allowed humans to think they are alone and untouched by magic. But what happens when something changes?

Ambrose Griffin is older than most, if not all, civilizations. As each year passes, he submerses himself into his training, only relaxing around his protégée and friend, Shade. After losing his wife and children in the last Angelic Wars, he guards his heart and has no desire to share it with another.

Bookkeeper and romance novel enthusiast, Jamie Bennett dreams of being swept off her feet by a white knight. However, her life is no romance book. Since meeting Ambrose—a sexy, delicious angel—she’s been twisted inside out and doesn’t know why. Things are happening that she can’t control and now her life is in danger.

Balin Drake is stuck in hell, literally. His life of refusing to take souls, even though it’s part of his demon nature, has caught up with him. He’s dying and now must search for his true half, but even a mating may not save him. When he meets the two people who could fill that part, he’ll need to fight for something he hasn’t felt in over a century—hope.

Warning: Contains a rigid angel who needs a certain sexy woman to help him unwind, a book keeper who finds herself the creamy center of the best cookie ever, and a demon who has a certain taste for pressing them both against walls.

This is the second book in the Dante's Circle series, and it does NOT disappoint. This book focuses on the angel, Ambrose, Shade's best friend and fellow warrior. Ambrose has been living in the angel realm, staying away from his true-half for the last year. So Ambrose is trying to be honorable, but ultimately this sexy, centuries old angel, just can't stay away from Jamie. Meanwhile, Jamie is starting to feel the effects of the lack of the true-half mating, and the lack of Ambrose's interest.

"He hadn't wanted to tie her to a man too old to be what she needed. In his heart, he’d known there was another for her. He’d felt it. The world consisted of just one true half per person, and some triads, Ambrose felt for certain there was another for Jamie, one that would be her true half. He knew in his heart that she would be happy with that other man, whoever he may be."

After being out with her friends, one night at Dante's Circle, Jamie is kidnapped from her home by demons. She's taken to the Demon Realm and is held captive by Pyro, who has a grudge against Ambrose. It's here we meet Balin, Pyro's son. Balin isn't your typical demon, he refuses to eat souls to survive, and because of this he will die on his 300th birthday. Well that is, unless he either consumes a soul, or finds his true-mate or in this case, mates.

Follow Ambrose, Jamie, and Balin on a journey through the realms of hell, and back to earth, where they fight for their lives and fall in love along the way.

What can I say about this book other than WOW!! I loved, loved, loved broody, sexy Ambrose, and stoic, strong Balin. Jamie was adorable, but all three of them together were perfect. This was a steamy, hot, super-sexy second installment in the Dante's Circle series. I look forward to the remaining girls' stories and to see more of Hunter the hottie shifter, and Dante the Dragon.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes Lauren Dane, Dana Marie Bell, or Stephanie Julian. If you haven't read a Carrie Ann Ryan book, you definitely need to pick one up...NOW!!!
5 out of 5 Bats~Chris

Everyone but him knows he loves Allison, yet it's going to take something stronger than luck to bring them together.

Allison Malone is exhausted. After the death of her abusive husband, her hell of a marriage is finally over and now she's alone with her three children that are the center of her world. Long hours at work, plus mommy duty at home are taking its toll on her and that's not the worst of it. Her late husband's family is in town and they want her children.

The outsiders have secrets of their own and it's going to take all of the Coopers, especially Brayden's, help to save them. When trouble attacks, Allison will have to remember that she's also a woman who needs love, and Brayden might be the one to give that to her.

Ambrose gave a long sigh, one filled with an eternal memory that seemed to bear down on him with each passing day. With a swift intake of breath, he leapt off the edge of the cliff, his wings spreading wide, catching a wind current. He flew down to the ravine, following the river’s path, the wind lashing through his hair. He never felt as alive as he did when he flew amongst the clouds and then again with nature. This was why he loved being an angel, even though the weight of the years felt heavier as time moved on.- Carrie Ann Ryan, Her Warriors' Three Wishes

“You’re fine, Lily,” he soothed. “I know you only laugh with him to humor him. He needs the help with his fragile ego.”
Shade threw his head back and laughed. “Ambrose just told a joke and almost smiled.” He clutched his chest and staggered back, bringing Lily with him. “I think I need to sit down.”
“You’re a riot, oh-wise-one,” Ambrose said dryly. “Was there a reason you wanted to meet here?”-Carrie Ann Ryan, Her Warriors' Three Wishes

He hadn’t wanted to tie her to a man too old to be what she needed. In his heart, he’d known there was another for her. He’d felt it. The world consisted of just one true half per person, and some triads, Ambrose felt for certain there was another for Jamie, one that would be her true half. He knew in his heart that she would be happy with that other man, whoever he may be.-Carrie Ann Ryan, Her Warriors' Three Wishes

“Oh, yes, the asshats of the earth,” Faith said. “Why can’t we just kill them all? Don’t you boys know something that can help?”
Shade threw a pretzel at her, and she ducked, her chin-length black hair going into disarray.
“Stop throwing food in my bar,” Dante ordered.
Eliana threw a pretzel in his direction, and he caught it without even looking. Her brown eyes widened, and everyone froze.
“What? Should I continue to hide what I am? Maybe act like a klutzy human?” He narrowed his gaze at Becca then winked. “No, dear, that’s not all humans, just you.”
Becca glowered at the dragon. “Okay, I think we have an asshat at our table.-Carrie Ann Ryan, Her Warriors' Three Wishes

“Bloodthirsty, thy name is Momma Wolf.”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Trinity Bound

“All three of them looked at each other then burst out laughing, the tension from the unknown dissolving away. Tears leaked from their eyes as their laughter grew.”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Trinity Bound

“It's okay, Jasper. I, above all, know what you are feeling now. But this will be different. We’re stronger now. We will find her.” Adam gave him a rough hug before he left the shop. The sound of a car outside signaled the arrival of his brothers. Time to kick ass and find his mate.”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, A Taste for a Mate

“I can feel you,” Willows whispered. Tears fell to down her cheeks, and he kissed her softly on the lips, pouring all his love into that one kiss.”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, A Taste for a Mate

“Just remember to keep an open mind. He really is quite sweet and won't bite. Well only occasionally. And only if you want him to.”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, An Alpha's Path

“Reed kissed her softly. “Live for now. Find your way. We can still be together. Forever. Don’t think about the unknown and what could happen when we don’t even know what is happening.”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Trinity Bound

“Reed couldn’t have agreed more with his wolf. Tonight the three of them would spend the night in the same house. He just hoped they were together in the same bed when they did it. Preferably naked and sweaty with lots of intimate touching.”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Trinity Bound

Reed kissed them both then stripped down. Hannah whistled and he shook his ass.
"Dude. Never. Do. That. Again." Maddox rubbed his eyes. "I think I'm blind."
Whoops, forgot he was there. Whatever.
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Trinity Bound

“Yeah? You want to do some other worldly hanky panky? She laughed and almost fell off the couch. "Hanky Panky?" "Don't knock it till you try it”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Charmed Spirits

“A sharp and familiar pang pierced his heart, rattled around his ribs, and then settled in his stomach like a rotting, dead weight. He took a swig of his Jack on the rocks, the burn not quite dulling the ache that had haunted him for two decades. God, he missed Anna. "
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Enforcer's Redemption

“Bay stood there, red hair curling around her face and the mass tumbling down her back and over her shoulders. Her green eyes were bright with the fear she probably thought she’d hidden so well.”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Enforcer's Redemption

“You know, doing it on the table is quite nice,"Becca added.Lily chiked on her beer.On a table?"really?"Wait. Why did she ask that? Becca raised a brow."Come on,sweet Lily.Don't tell me you"ve never tried it." She blused and shook her head. Was there another way to do it other than with the lights off and missionary?”
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Dust of My Wings

Shade was a warrior angel. In the times of the Angelic Wars, he’d fought alongside the best of the best. Hell, he was the best of the best. Well, maybe tied with Ambrose, but he wouldn’t tell the other angel that.
Shade chuckled as he envisioned Ambrose’s reaction to his thought. Ambrose was sure to want to prove just the opposite, and Shade would be more than willing to give it a go. If you couldn’t fight for supremacy with your best friend, how else would you even know how good you were?
― Carrie Ann Ryan, Dust of My Wings
