My Review

Halíka Dacomé is a skilled warrior who is not ready turn her planet over to anyone. While her father rules the kindom she rules the battlefields. The Primords want to take over the planet just like they have many other ones before it. Halíka Dacomé has powers but doesn't use them to there full strentgh it has been forbidden for reasons she doesn't know. Her father is ready to turn the planet and Halíka Dacomé over to Arfron Uhnok a Primord. She won't accept that and in list the aid of some of her friends to take them all out. Little does she know that she is about to make some bad decisions that will have an impact on the future of them all. She follows her heart and that will be her downfall.

Halíka Dacomé is a person who takes charge and does what has to be done. She a lot of times leaps in without thinking of the results of those actions. She is also very powerful and she will have to learn to control it.Nerido Xipile is her childhood friend and she feels more than friendship for him. He is powerful as well and you can tell he hides many things. Jerik, Halíka Dacomé brother is a sweetie who I loved. He does what he can to help her and always has her back.

I read Elemental: The First a while back and my downside to that book was not knowing the background. This story did an excellent job feeling me in and wanting more. It is a different kind of book that keeps your attention. It has a nice blend of action, magic, romance, friendship, betrayal and so much more. It seems like something is always going on to hold your attention. It really makes you feel for Halíka Dacomé and all she tries to overcome and goes thru. I really ended up loving her character and cheered her own. Yes at times she should have listen to people but I can understand why she didn't. For an amazing book with wonderful characters pick this up and try it.
