Walking Dead (Zombie Kid Diaries 3)
by Fred Perry
Blurb
Despite being a zombie, Bill Stokes has become quite good at maintaining his mediocre grade point average, keeping a low profile, and gaining online notoriety as a top competitor in the pro-gaming world. But now, Bill's dad is back! Released on legal technicalities from his insurance fraud sentence, Dad's out to get even with Mom and Bill for exposing his schemes! How is Bill going to keep his and Mom's zombie-ness from being revealed to the world?
My Review
I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review. Bill and his mom are still adjusting to being zombies. They are doing good and are keeping it hid from everyone. Someone may be about to change that. Bill's dad is back and out for revenge. He may just get even with them and discover they are zombies. Bill and his mom will have to fight to keep their secret and each other. Bill's friends have a big hand to play as well.
This is the 3rd book in the Zombie Kid Diaries series. It is a very cute series that any fan of Whimpy Kid Diaries would enjoy. Lets face it is hard to get to kids to read sometimes and this author has create a series that kids will love. There is all kinds of fart jokes which we know kids love. I like this series and will be sure to get my littlest one to read them as she gets older.
I did feel this book wasn't as good as the other two in the series. For some reason it didn't have the usual touch of zombie that the other two had. Yes it is still good it just seemed missing something. You do get to see Bill and his mom become closer and they do talk a little about what it means to be a zombie. Yes they have found a way to talk in this book. You also get to see Bill's mom make a few changes and kinda start dating again. You have to know it is hard with her not eating normal food and can't hardly speak but she makes it work. I will get the next book cause I just adore this series. If you have a reluctant reader at home pick up this series I am sure they will enjoy it.
