My Review
Amelia is a demon slayer and also a young girl. She goes to an Academy to learn demon hunting and also to find her bondmate. It is very important to find a bondmate. problems start when her professors begin getting killed. She begins to snoop to figure out what is going on. She also has to figure out who just may be her bondmate. More problems occur when she meets Jackson. He wants nothing to do with her and is also a trainer. Amelia feels attracted to him and should stay away but some things are harder to figt\ht than demons. Her powers are stronger around him and that usual only happens when you the right Watcher and Guardian are together. Things turn even worse when her field test go bad. Now she is on the run because it is believed she is the one killing people and the one told to fulfill a horrible prophecy. Can she prove she isn't the prophecy girl and not fall head over heals for Jack. She has five days to do it all in. It is going to be very hard.
Amelia is so freaking amazing!! She has it all going on. Powers, funny, tough and not afraid to get right in the middle of things when they get rough. Her life hasn't been perfect but she doesn't let it get her down. Even when it seems like everyone is against her she takes it in stride and she sure isn't afraid to let it be known what she thinks of the other paranormal creatures. Jackson is a double side of yummyness!! Strong, good looking, can be funny at times, smart and so much more. I see a lot of people falling in love with him when they read this. He should be afraid at times but he doesn't let it slow him down. He does what he thinks is right. I so fell for him.
It is hard to put into words just how much I enjoyed this book. It is has a different twist on the paranormal world with new things. The writing is very awesome and draws you right in. From the start you get to see just what type of girl Amelia is and as the book progresses you get to see so much more. There is plenty of action as she runs for her life or they are all battling demons. You also get the sparks between Amelia and Jack. They are enough to light up the pages they are on. There is plenty of other characters to get to know and enjoy. There is also plenty of twist and turns many I didn't see coming and was shocked by them. No spoilers from me but seriously read this book!! You won't regret it if you love paranormal YA books. I can not wait to see what happens next.
