Pulse of Heroes blog tour

We are so excited to be hosting A Jacob Sweeny on her blog tour. On today's stop we have an inerview with one of our favorite immortals Elliot De Costa and we can't wait for you to get to know him a littlebit better. But first let's talk about the book.

Synopsis: A suspenseful, passionate, paranormal romance that sweeps through the emotions of first love and heartache as it traverses centuries and continents.
Michelle used to feel like she was behind in everything, especially school and relationships. Her great aunt from the old country says she is like a bland meal, "no salt or pepper". But in junior year, everything changes. Her father takes a position on the Town Council, a popular boy in school becomes interested in her, and most importantly, the Hekademos Learning Center, a private school for 'troubled' students, moves into her quiet neighborhood amidst the protests of the entire town. After an embarrassing fall over the school wall, Michelle meets Elliot and her ordinary ‘bland’ life changes its course forever.Elliot is no ordinary human. In fact, no one at the Hekademos Learning Center is. Beautiful and fierce, they have survived throughout the millennia by weaving in and out of human events.
Through them, Michelle learns that history and myths from around the world are dotted with references to their kind. Michelle falls madly in love with the ever-striking and mysterious Elliot and, as much as he tries to fight it, he develops strong feelings for her as well. Although Elliot carries numerous painful memories from his many pasts, he disregards his own better judgment and the advice of his friends, and finds himself falling for Michelle‘s offbeat personality. Their feelings grow in intensity, but when History catches up with them, the difference between their life paths threatens to destroy any future that they might have had together.Michelle learns that there are infinite shades of gray between black and white, and has to deal with the bundle of contradictory emotions called love. She has to trust her intuition in order to face the danger and uncertainty of being drawn into Elliot’s wondrous world. Ultimately, it is up to Michelle to make the split-second, life-altering decision that will either tear them apart forever, or give them another chance.

My Review:
Amazing ride filled with first love, heart break, and history. I loved how AJ made the history come alive right before my eyes. If you want a book that will have you staying up late into the night crying, laughing, screaming, and gasping for breath, this is the book for you. 5/5 bats

Now for what you all are waiting for:
Elliot De Costa, Raw and in the Flesh!

(Elliot walks into the room. He’s on his cell phone; He gives the interviewer an apologetic look and finishes up his conversation. The whole thing sounded as if it were in French. He tucks the cellphone into the front pocket of his jeans…they are tight fitting grayish/black. He is wearing a cotton buttoned-down shirt with some sort of light colored embroidery, all in blues, giving it a slightly Indian feel)
I’m sorry about that. You’re not going to believe who that was. It was Rion. He actually called me to make sure I wasn’t going to talk crap about him. Like HE’S in my thoughts at all times. That guy is unbelievable! (Elliot shakes his head and laughs) I’m sorry, I’m Elliot. Nice to meet you Sabrina. (He shakes her hand)

(Smiles at the thought of Rion) You and Rion have those moments often don't you? Thank you for coming, I hope you don't mind that we dive right in to the interview. (looks at questions and tries to stay calm) Ok here we go.

What was your favorite time period?

Right now, of course!
Awe, I think we can all guess why, (points to self and laughs) No I am just playing, but thats interesting that you chose now, Hmm, next question what are your favorite types of books?

I enjoy reading books of all genres; including nonfiction. I almost always have a nonfiction book I’m working on. For a while there I got stuck on suspense novels. But as long as the characters are believable and the plot has a reason then I’ll pretty much read whatever. I get a kick when I read about my kind in other books. It’s pretty easy to pick up on us. Usually heroes, immortals, with no father… or some mystery father figure. A Jacob Sweeny’s depictions of our kind can be amusing, although she definitely has a tendency to overdramatize things.

(smiles sweetly at Elliot and moves on to the next question) You and Michelle have had a lot of obstacles in your relationship. How will you handle any more that come your way?

I have no idea, but we will do it as a team. To be honest, I’m not sure how much more Michelle can handle. But I’m sure that whatever challenges we have yet to face will be smooth sailing compared to what happened to us this past summer.

I guess that is just something that none of us can predict at this point, but I know that we are all anxious to find out what happens next...What was the hardest battle you fought in?

There were so many. And by hard do you mean physically? Or emotionally? Physically, I believe that fighting against the Turks was very trying and I ended up wounded and almost dead. But it was fighting against the Assyrians that pushed everyone including myself to the brink. When they showed up in Israel we weren’t prepared because Egypt had promised to send in its armies to protect its interests and they didn’t. We were completely overwhelmed. Down south in Judea, in the city of Lachish, is where I fought the hardest. I battled like a mad man that has completely lost his soul. It was after I learned that they had killed two of my children and enslaved my wife. (Elliot gets a faraway look in his eyes and they seem extra-large and blue)

(stares at him in awe, almost forgetting the interview is still on going) So, Elliot what has been your greatest accomplishment through your life?

Wow… I have actually never thought about it like that. I have raised plenty of children and that’s always a good feeling, when they become good adults… but in terms of worldly accomplishment, I don’t think that mine would mean too much in today’s world. I mean, I developed a lot of the science and art of blowing glass and traded this knowledge around the world. Without that we wouldn’t have windows. Imagine a very dark world. I also invest most of my money in medicine. I have opened many hospitals around the world, actually that’s what Devin and I have been doing for years. (Elliot smiles proudly)

(Smiles back) Those are some great accomplishments Elliot, you know I must say that you helping invest money in medicine especially in places around the world that are in need of hospitals is amazing. (continues to stare at Elliot and finally realizes he is waiting for the next question) Lets see what is next....Ahh, what 5 words would you use to describe yourself?

Not easy, can that count as one word? Intense and passionate. Quiet at times. Fearless and stubborn. I can be very patient when I need to. And I’m obviously extremely good looking, judging by the way you’re staring at me. Hmm, is that more than five words? (Elliot gives a slight smile and a wink, yet he seems bashful at the same time)

(Blushing) Sorry, moving on to the next question...in Of Blood and Pulse Haneul and Jessica seemed to be getting close, How do you feel about that?

Whatever they do does not concern me. But they better not come to me to talk about the other.

I wouldn't want to be in the middle either (laughs) Is there a time in your life that has influenced you the most today?

I change every day, so the answer to that would be no. Well, something did happen to me once… (Elliot again appears to be lost in his own thoughts) but no, we won’t go there. (He flashes an innocent smile)

(Nearly falls out of chair) Oh, sorry about that, Hmm, If you could change anything in your past, What would it be and why?

There are too many mistakes I’ve made. I would have to write a whole book about that. Maybe AJ Sweeny can do that for me? She seems to enjoy trotting out my life’s story like a soap opera for you people.

How did you feel when you found out Jessica, Hadeno, and you were related?

I’ll pass on that one, if you don’t mind.

No problem. You don't have to answer anything you don't want to....One question I think we are all wondering is how will you handle Michelle aging?

I will help and preserve Michelle’s youth for as long as I can. My friends will help her too. We will use our powers to generate energy into her cells. When the time comes and I can no longer hold her back I will tenderly take care of her. She will always be my Michelle and that doesn’t matter if she has a wrinkle or two. It’s not your fault that you age, and it’s incredibly frustrating to watch that happen.

We should all be so lucky to have a love like that, Can you reveal any hints about Pulse Genesis?

I am actually not allowed to talk about that at all. The publicist and the attorneys have made that more than clear. But, (he leans in closer to the interviewer to tell her a secret) you do get to see me in full action… I know you ladies have been waiting, (he kisses interviewer on the cheek) and I promise I won’t let any of you down. (Elliot pulls away and smirks)

(Fans self and tries to remember the next question.) The fight you and Hadeno had in front of Michelle, How did it affect you having her see you in battle mode?

There was no more hiding after that. She saw me completely. I am who I am and I cannot apologize for that. She wanted a strong man, one that can protect her, right? Well she got it. She wanted a smart man, one that can help her along? I’m here. We fighting men are not heartless or cruel, but we do what we must to survive and to protect our loved ones, and to give up that survival goes against the universal truth. We are Gods and monsters put together. It’s a balancing act we must all work on.

Well, thank you for stopping by today and taking the time to do this interview, unfortunately it is already that time to rap things up. I wanna thank Elliot for stoping by and letting us get to know him a little better. I hope none of the questions were to personal.
