Violet Midnight Review

Violet Midnight ( Violet Night #1)
by Lynn Rush

Book Blurb
Let the Hunt begin…

Blending in with her college co-eds proves difficult for vampire Hunter, Emma Martin, considering the mystical tattoo on her wrist glows whenever Vamps are near. And after three months of silence, the glow is back with a vengeance.

Jake Cunningham witnesses Emma, a violet-eyed beauty, using unimaginable powers to fight off a fanged creature. Finally, after two years of searching, he may have found out what he’s become—a Hunter, like Emma.

Thankful for an ally in the fight against the Vamps, Emma finds hope and comfort in Jake’s arms. As she learns more about her new love’s family and its dark heritage, she may be forced not only to hunt them but to sacrifice her life to save Jake’s soul.

My Review

Emma Tries to blend in with the other college students but that is hard for her to do. She has a tattoo that glows every time a vampire is near. She is a vampire hunter and does a good job of it. Jake sees her fighting a vampire and soon finds he may be a hunter as well. As they train together and fall in love his past comes back to haunt them. She may have to choice between love and duty.

First off I love the cover and after reading the book it fits it perfect. Emma is so freaking awesome. She knows how to fight and she is smart. You get to see into her character as she fights vampires, hangs out with friends and falls in love. Jake is so hot. He is so amazing! Get ready for another book crush ladies. His past will shock you and you don't know what will he do in the end. The rest of the characters make a nice blend in this wonderful story.

I really enjoyed this book and can not wait to read the next one. It has so much going for it. It is hard to review without spoilers. The book is wonderfully written and you really get into the story as you read. I really didn't want to put it down to sleep. Even after reading it days later it stuck in my mind. Some books you read and move on not this one. The characters seem so real and I love how Lynn Rush has them doing normal things as well as fighting vampires. If you love vampires and want a new one to read pick this up. It is so good!!
