My Review
Emma Wise has lost her family and is the only survivor. As she lays in the hospital she finds she is being moved to Alaska to live with her aunt. As she begins her journey she starts to notice odd things. Once there she finds she is the heart of an old prophecy and she has to make it to her eighteenth. She is guarded by her aunt and six guardians. As she tries to adjust to this she also has to deal with secrets from her past and also falling for one of the guardians even when it can never happen.
This was a quick read as the book moved at a good pace. Emma is an ok character who at times did get on my nerves. I felt sorry for her as she had lost her family and was getting thrown into a whole new life. She is young and I did take that into consideration. I felt she didn't really mourn her family much. She was worried about the hot guy more than that. I was worried what kind of story it would turn out to be. However I loved when the paranormal stuff got going. It was awesome to see the angels, guardians and more coming to the surface and it had a good plot. There where secrets that came out and made it an entertaining read. If you like angel stories with some twist and turns you may enjoy this one.
