DEITY BY JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT BLURB
"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "
Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.
If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.
But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.
Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...
REVIEW:
Wow where to start; first I would like to thank Spencer Hill
Press and Jennifer L. Armentrout for allowing me to be able to review this
amazing book. I absolutely adore this series. Alex does not disappoint in this
book as her birthday draws closer and closer. The tension between her and Seth
grows but her love stays strong for Aiden. We see how determined Alex still is
to become a sentinel but as she continues her training of all things to happen
she receives a note that will change everything for her and open her eyes to
what is really going on around her.
As always Jennifer delivered with her writing, there was
never a second that I strayed away, I have been with this series from the very
beginning and have grown in love with all the characters but especially Alex,
her determination and attitude is what makes me connect to her so easily. The way
that Jennifer writes allows you to imagine as if you are in the book surrounded
by all the characters, it is not hard at all to lose yourself to the pages of
this book.
Ever since I began this series, it has not once disappointed
me, this newest addition to the series is another one to add to my top reads list, I would recommend this book to everyone that has read the series, if you
weren’t that into the series before than this book will definitely be the hook to
drag you back in, if you have never picked up this series I suggest you do.
I give
this book 5/5 Bats.
